A gallery of galleries…take what you like…leave what you don’t. Which are your favorites?
I’ll do my best to take this from the more common to the more artistic type galleries. Some get pretty wild and are just plain fun to look at. There’s a lot to take in. Enjoy the collection I have put together for just you guys 🙂
Incorporate mirrors and other textures.
Around the stairs…
Shelves are another popular way to display a lot of photos at once. Also, in my opinion this seems to be a bit more organized. The other fabulous plus to using shelves is that you can change and rearrange your photos as often as you’d like! Try these ideas on for size.
ODDS & ENDS
Overkill or awesomesauce?
I’m a wanna be photographer and mother to the most beautiful baby girl in the world. My hubby is quite the looker as well. I’m getting somewhere, I promise. I’m not just braggin’ 😉 See the thing is, I have a crap ton of awesome photos I want to show off in my home. A crap ton. I like to think I have an eye for design and can’t just plaster my home undecidedly with pictures here and collages there. I want to create something beautiful in our new home for our display of awesomeness. My family’s mugs. Which of these will I take inspiration from? Do you have any favorites?
Pinks and golds are what I’m talking about. They go together. Like peanut butter and jelly, me and a bargain sale and my daughter and a dirty diaper.
Home Décor and Furnishings
The gold dots are the wall are adorable.
Gold accented pillows are a great way to get this look on the cheap and easily change any time.
This dining space has a peachy pink wall and gold accents using art and fixtures.
For the truly brave, check out this awesome wallpaper. I love the lamps too!
More gold pillows, framed art and, of course, a starburst.
All sorts of pink and how about those gold ottomans? We love.
Gold accented wallpaper and a hot pink couch. Maybe for an office?
Sweet right? Gold and pink accents!
Grab a gold Sharpie, design whatever you want (like the polka dots on this tea pot) and bake at 350 degrees for thirty minutes. For the chair just paint the chair in a pretty pink, reupholster the seat and back in a burlap and spray paint the polka dots using gold spray paint and a stencil.
Doll yourself Pink and Gold!
NUF SAID! GORGE. 🙂
PARTY IN PINK (and Gold)
Edible gold leaf on pink. Yes, please!
If you want to create a quick and inexpensive dramatic look to any room all you need to do is change how we are used to hanging our curtains and hang ’em high. Like to the ceiling high.
Here’s one way to hang ’em high. Attach the curtain rod to the ceiling.
Notice that these curtains are extra long and “puddled” on the floor. Also, the more obvious awesomeness here, is the mix and match from the same collection! How much do we love this?!
Another great solution from IKEA! With this tension wire you can hang your curtains high and in any direction you want. Also, makes for an easy DIY canopy!
This room is a great example of how hang your curtains high and make your room appear bigger. And that’s never a bad thing. Am I right?
Don’t forget your bathroom curtains. The often under thought of bathroom curtains can cause the biggest statement in your bathroom. Though these actual curtains in this photo aren’t my favorite the allocation is good. Remember to add an additional , more sturdy curtain rod to hang nicer curtains on the outside of your regular (hopefully matching) shower curtain. I will do this as a part of our home make over and show you ours once we get to this point to show you the ideal placement and better curtain selection. We have very small bathrooms and this should make them look a bit bigger and more luxurious. In theory. I’ll get back to you on that.
